The Savage Model 99, Model 1899 is a hammerless lever action rifle created by the Savage Arms Company in Utica, New York. The Model 99 family featured a unique rotary magazine, which also lead to some models with a box magazine. One of the main features of the rotary magazine was to allow pointed ammunition in a lever action style firearm. This rifle is chambered in .303 Savage which was made primarily for the model 99 and its predecessor the model 95.
