Description:
This 1978 rimfire lever-action rifle is a Marlin Original Golden-39A chambered for .22 S, L, or LR. It features a "JM" stamp on the barrel showing it was manufactured by the original Marlin team. The 39A is still considered one of the finest examples of a lever .22 rifle, and one of the most accurate .22 rifles ever produced. It is also the best-selling lever rimfire in U.S. history. It has a serrated ramp fixed blade front sight, a Butterfly U-notch adjustable rear sight, a serrated gold trigger, sling loops top and bottom, hard black plastic grip cap and butt plate, with ivory colored spacers, and a tube-fed magazine. It features Marlin's proprietary Micro-Groove rifling in a 1 in 16 in right-hand twist. The overall bluing is in very good condition with only some slight loss near muzzle and with some freckling on either side of the receiver. The wood finish is in generally good condition with some small marks on fore arm, and some additional scratches and marks on the butt stock. It comes with a Bushnell Sportview 3X - 9X - 32 riflescope. .22 Short/Long/Long Rifle
