NSN, circa late 1830's to 1850's, .44 caliber, 32.25"" unmarked octagonal barrel.  Barrel and other metal parts are a dark brown/grey patina with surface oxidation visible, bore has oxidation visible in the grooves with strong rifling remaining. Lock plate looks to have ""Wilkinson/WARRANTED forward of the hammer with floral scrolling at the rear. Wood loss is noted above the bolster, stock has expected nicks, dings and scratches. Action is loose and will hold at full cock. Consignment
