Description:
Serial #2704664. .30-06, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. The receiver of this rifle was built in March of 1944, and retains 95-97% of an overall arsenal reapplied parkerized finish with some silvering along a few of the high edges, as well as within the op-rod raceway. The "SA" marked barrel is a 1953-dated, and has a commensurate amount of finish remaining, while the op-rod is an "SA" marked, modified example with relief cut. The trigger group housing is "SA" marked, but the hammer and safety are both post-war "HRA" marked examples. The walnut stock and handguards are in very good condition with numerous handling marks and minor blemishes scattered throughout the varnish finish. Non-US "P" proof and rack number ("36") are present on the pistol-grip, and an MRT canvas M1 sling is installed. This is a very nice Garand, and is in very good-near fine condition overall.
