***SOLD*** Excellent Winchester '86 in the desirable big bore 45-90 caliber.
S/N 121233 made in 1900.
This fine rifle is in an untouched, stand out condition showing excellent finishes and ultra crisp mechanics.
Fantastic bluing throughout with the only notable loss occuring on the sharp edges of the octagon barrel. The receiver is case colored, being somewhat muted but having a nice, deep and even toned appearance with no flaking or browning.
The wood retains much of its original varnish as well with some slight loss at gripping points and some scattered handling marks.
26" octagon barrel with full length magazine tube. The bore is excellent and shiny. The buttplate is a case colored steel crescent style.
Original sights consist of a Lyman ivory bead front and Winchester flat top sporting rear.
Not perfect, but an overall great rifle that you'll find very difficult to improve upon!
