31946 SUPERB WW1 COLT U.S. ARMY MODEL 1911 SEMI-AUTO .45ACP CAL. PISTOL CIRCA 1917. All original, matching and complete in excellent plus to near mint condition. 200,9xx serial range shipped in Dec. 1917 to Springfield Armory during the big build-up for the American Expeditionary Force landings in January 1918. Interestingly serial numbered in a range close in number to several blocks of 1911’s shipped to the Marine Corps. Has nearly all the original military blue finish with very little wear. Grips in same condition. Superior bright bore and original magazine. Has all the correct markings and the original barrel. Really nice example. $4500.
