Deluxe Engraved Sportsman 58, the father to the Remington 1100. For those who aren't familiar with these handsome and beautufully handling guns they were Remingtons first gas operated semi auto. Known for excellent handlking and reliability. Used in a 60's national clays chanpionship by one of the 2 top compeitors went an incredible over 1000 strait w/o a miss. Some have written somethin to the effect that it is the best pointing and handling of any gun they have used. 26" Vent Rib Ported barrel. No meaningfull marks, splits repairs or other ..it is in not too far from new cod. These were made from the mid 1950's to approx 1963 when it was replaced by the 1100. A great piece of history to shoot clays or to hunt..
Silver latch like 1100's and Wingmasters BUT the pistol grip cap unlike later guns instead of the flying duck is bird dog wiht a brid in ist mouth
On this model the cap at the end of the mag tube is adjused for light or heavy loads and must be clearly aligned to one selection or another.
