Winchester Model 43 chambered in .218 Bee. The rifle was manufactured from 1948 to 1953. This small framed bolt-action rifle is a perfect varmint rifle that is both accurate and reliable. The Winchester Model 43 is a magazine-fed bolt-action rifle built on a small action. It was chambered in four calibers and designed to be a very small action. It is a cock-on open, controlled-feed design that sports a walnut stock with a pistol grip and a 24-inch barrel weighing approximately six pounds. The .218 Bee is a .22 caliber centerfire rifle cartridge designed for varmint hunting by Winchester in 1937. The cartridge is named for the bore diameter of the barrel instead of the bullet size. The performance of the .218 Bee falls between the smaller .22 Hornet, and the larger .223 Remington. .218 Bee
