Here's a great collectible shooter in the unparalleled Pre War Model 70 30-06 for the guy who wants a completely unaltered and undrilled rifle, yet doesn't want or need a pristine example with the associated price premiums.
With S/N 54031, this rifle was issued immediately after WWII but of 100% Pre War componets and finishes. The scribed S/N on the bolt body is very faint but matching.
The original finishes rate about 90% with general wear and numerous light handling marks in the wood finish, but nothing too deep or distracting and no cracks anywhere.
As mentioned, the rear receiver bridge remains thankfully undrilled, and the bore and mechanical functions are all excellent.
A solid and still attractive rifle ready for another 80 years of stellar service!
