Description:
Reduced. This is pretty cool, although possibly not historically correct. The rifled .69 barrel is from an unknown antique flintlock military rifle. The proof marks are strange to me. Builder Jackie Brown took the barrel and shortened it to 29.25". He started the process of mounting it in an iron mounted Tiger Maple stock, but, as I understand it, injured his back and could not finish it for the client. It was passed on to Jack Garner's shop to finish. The barrel has an aged brown patina, but no rust. The bore is good plus and has a slow twist of around 1:120. Stock is very good plus. Lock is L&R. The LOP is 13.60". Rifle weighs 6.5 lbs. An interesting rifle. $850 + Shipping.
