Description:
This is a Smith and Wesson Military and Police chambered in 38 Smith and Wesson. (not 38 Special) From what I can tell by the serial number and characteristics this was the 1st change model manufactured between 1906 snd 1909. Round butt grips that are in very good condition. No cracks and hardly any wear on the checkering. The bluing to me apears to have been redone. There is some pitting on the left side of the frame that seems to have been "blued over" I took close pictures of the revolver so you can be the judge. This has a 5" barrel shinny bore good rifling with what appears to be some leadding in the rifling. Locks up tight with a small amount of cylender movement.
