VERY HARD TO FIND RUGER MODEL 96 LEVER ACTION .44 MAGNUM CARBINE, #640-08XXX, MADE 1997. These were very limited production carbines that were made in .22 LR, .22 Mag., .17 HMR and .44 Mag. The .44 Mag is particularly difficult to find these days and is different from the others in that it has a case colored steel lever. These are particularly handy carbines (I have one in .22LR I've been using since the 1990s and it's a gem) and surprising that Ruger discontinued them after such a short run. Anyway, this one is brand new in the correctly end labeled matching numbered box, with unopened scope rings, all the paperwork and manual etc. Looks like someone just bought it and stuck it on a shelf!
