Description:
Circa 1850-1860 Antique Kentucky/Pennsylvania percussion half stock 40 caliber rifle. Very nice maple tiger stripe half stock with a German silver nose cap and nice brass patch box, there is a hairline crack on the left side at the wrist. The trigger gaurd and but plate are also brass. The double set triggers are functioning. The lock is marked G Goulcher. The 38" barrel has both front and rear sights and is signed J Sharp a Sidney, Ohio gunmaker. The barrel wedge is missing. The lock and barrel are mostly a smooth dark brown color with a little pitting at the breach. Please feel free to contact me with any contact me with any questions.
