Antique US Springfield 1873 Trapdoor 45-70 caliber Army rifle. Full two band original walnut stock has been refinished in very good condition with a faint cartouche. Full length 32,5 inch barrel with front and buffington rear sights. The functioning 3 click lock is marked US Springfield with the American eagle. The breach block is marked US Model 1873. The metal still retains a high percentage of (I believe) the original blueing. The Springfield is complete with sling swivels, cleaning rod. Both breach block and lock function fine.
