Description:
This gun features a 30 inch octagon barrel chambered in 38-55 caliber with a good bore that has a few very fine light scattered pits. Sights include a Beach's combination front with a Lyman 2-leaf flip up rear and Lyman folding tang sight. Full length magazine tube. Overall metal is very good with about 60-65% barrel and mag blue. Receiver has about 75% slightly thinning original blue with very good traces of case color on the hammer and lever. Special order eyes for a Winchester sling and a scarce set of sling swivels. Straight grain walnut stocks are in good condition with most original varnish remaining and a rifle style buttplate. Complete with an copy of a factory letter stating the caliber and barrel length and sling & swivels.
