Thousands of French Model 1842 muskets were imported during the US civil war. Overall length is approximately 55.5 inches with a 40.5 inch barrel and approximately 70 caliber rifled barrel. The full length stock is in good condition. All metal parts have a dark patina. The musket is complete with with sling swivels and ramrod. The top of the nipple is broke and it holds and trips at full cock but no half cock. Please feel free to contact me with questions.
