This Springfield Armory U.S. Model 1873 is a right hand single shot breech loading trapdoor action rifle in .45-70 Gov't. Cal. It has a 32.5 inch barrel. A blade front sight and a flip up adjustable notch middle sight. The butt stock is a smooth grip walnut straight grip. The forearm is a smooth grip walnut. Serial Number 155518 (1881). .45-70 Government
