Description:
Winchester Model 1886 Deluxe Case Hardened Lever-Action rifle. Features a case hardened receiver, lever, forearm cap and crescent buttplate. The 1886 has a 24" blued octagon barrel, High Grade III/IV satin finish checkered walnut curved grip stock and forearm, fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight. The Model 1886 lever-action repeating rifle was designed by firearms genius John M. Browning with the purpose of creating a lever-action rifle capable of firing the heavy hitting cartridges of the period – notably the 45-70 Government. The action was originally designed for use with black powder cartridges but was designed with such inherent strength that it was easily capable of handling smokeless powder cartridges. The Deluxe Rifle is a perfect blend of heavy hitting performance, historic looks, and modern ergonomics that will make it fun to shoot for years to come. .45-70 Government
