Description:
This is a Savage model 1899 Take down chambered in the harder to find 250-3000 caliber. Manufactured in 1915 this was the first year savage offered this great round in this rifle. This model year was also one of the last years they offered the high luster blue finish. Bluing is 90+% with the only wear on sharp edges. This rifle has the perch belly butt stock, This butt stock is matching serial number stamped but has had a repair it looks to have been done well and is not easily noticed. The bore has a nice mirror finish. Brass cartridge counter, Loaded chamber indicator, Great overall rifle in a Great caliber. It includes a factory look up sheet from the Cody Firearms Records office.
