***SOLD*** Excellent example of the scarce standard weight .243 Win. Model 70 with a steel buttplate. Most 243s were made in other styles such as featherweight, target, varmint, etc. Of the relative few standard weights made, many will have the later and less desirable plastic buttplate.
S/N 346577 with matching scribed bolt made in 1955.
99%+ Blue with no mentionable discrepancy. 98% Varnish with a few light pressure dents and a fairly common finish check near the heel of buttplate.
The wood is beautiful with a dark, rich color and nice grain pattern.
The bore and mechanics are crisp and minty.
A very nice and infrequently encountered rifle.
