Description:
Laurona Hand Detachable Sidelock Ejector in 12 gauge. This is a 7 pin sidelock action with hand detachable locks. It features include double under lug locking with third bite, bushed firing pin, pin type cocking indicators & selective ejectors. It has double triggers with the front trigger hinged. It has full coverage engraving consists of hound and red stag scenes surrounded by foliate and arabesque scroll. The engraving extends to the forearm iron with highlights at the breech end of barrels. It has a Anson release splinter forearm and a straight hand stock of dark colored nicely grained European walnut. The Point pattern hand checkering has tear drop points behind ears. The LOP is 13-3/8" over a solid orange London style pad. The Drop at Comb is 1-1/2 inches, Drop at Heel is 2-1/4 inches with a Neutral cast. Barrel no. 1 is original to the gun has been shortened to 25-1/2 inches. It is a Chopper lump with a solid rib and white front bead. The right bore is rifled. Bore diameter: RT .725", LT .724". Choke constriction: RT cyl. bore, LT .011". Minimum wall thickness: RT .028", LT .032". Barrel no. 2 is 27-1/2 inches. It is a Chopper lump w/ solid rib & white front bead. Bore diameter: RT .729", LT .028". Choke constriction: RT .016", LT .037". Minimum wall thickness: RT .029", LT .027". The barrel date code indicates a 1980 manufacture. Included is a leather covered motoring case with red cloth fitted interior for 2 bbl. sets. Interior lid has leather Laurona label with a small paper label warning of use only with dummy cartridges. 3 additional paper labels are retailer added by James Woodward & Sons, 64 St. James's Street, Pall Mall, London, S.W.1. Case has a swayed cover with leather trim. 12 Gauge
