Description:
Here we present a very nice antique British Snider Enfield MK III breech-loading Cavalry Carbine chambered in .577 Snider. This fine example of British military history was made in 1871 and is in Very Good Condition based on NRA antique gun standards. The stock is in great shape, showing the expected light dings and mild abrasions from the rifle's many years of service. Much of the original blueing remains with a light gray patina. All of the original proofs and marking remain very clear and legible. The bore of the 19-1/4" barrel is in good condition with strong rifling and some scattered areas of very light pitting. The action on this rifle is very smooth and everything functions as it should. This rifle would make an excellent addition to any firearm collection.
