Description:
We are offering for sale an antique Russian M1845 percussion rifle chambered in .709 caliber. This is a RARE firearms in good, fully functioning condition with signs of field wear. This gun was one of the primary guns used in the CRIMEAN WAR.
42.5" barrel is good with scattered pitting to surface; Oxidized bore. Barrel is dated "1851" and shows other markings as well. The sidelock is also marked "1851"; Arsenal marking is worn and unlegible. Hammer and trigger function properly. Brass barrel bands, trigger guard and buttplate show incredible patina. The original stock is shows scattered field wear; Worn spot behind first barrel sling stud. No breaks or cracks noted. Buttplate has double eagle head Russian mark. VERY SCARCE EXAMPLE!!
