Description:
Pre-War Masquelier high grade Belgian 20 gauge box lock ejector. 26-3/4" Krupp steel barrels feature a machine checkered game rib, spade head third fastening, and a greener cross bolt. Choked modified and full (.015/.030), 2-3/4" chambers. The scalloped side clip action with deep carved fences is extensively engraved with fine scroll and bouquet. Auto safe, articulated front trigger, this is a classy little 20 bore. Circa 1920, you can easily recognize the quality of the period. Splinter forend, straight grip stock of the most wonderful French walnut of the era. Beautiful ribbons of black smokey figure across a rich honey background with a spray of feathercrotch. You cannot buy wood like this today. Measures 1-1/2" comb, 2-1/2" heel, 13-7/8" LOP to checkered butt with heel and toe plates. About 3/8" cast off. Some traces of color still remain, sling swivels have been removed. Handling marks show field use. Weighs just 5-1/2 lbs. Super vintage 20!
