Description:
Built in the late 1960's this rare and unique special ordered Model 27-2 is factory inscribed 'Benjamin C Smith' on the sideplate and is equipped with a 6 1/2", pinned red ramp front sight, white outline rear sight and smooth Goncalo Alves presentation Target Stocks. Benjamin C Smith was a New York City Police Officer. The gun remains in wonderful as-new condition and is gorgeous from end to end with an exceptionally fine polish from S&W. Knowledgeable collectors are aware that special ordered examples will typically have a small logo on the left side of the frame, as well as receiving much finer than normal finishing. A really uniquely configured 1960's Model 27 that will enhance any fine S&W or martial collection.
