Description:
Colt Model of 1911 U.S. Army Pistol, made in 1918 in Hartford, Connecticut. This one is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the left side of the frame. Also on the left side of the frame behind the trigger is the "Eagle/S11" government inspector mark. The right side of the slide is marked "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY". The serial number "316088" dates the gun to 1918. The left side of the slide is marked "PATENTED APR. 20, 1897. SEPT. 9, 1902/DEC.19, 1905. FEB.14, 1911. AUG.19, 1913" with a rampant colt in the middle, then "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG.CO./HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.". The left barrel lug is stamped "PS" with the right side stamped "J4S". The diamond checkered grips are in very nice shape with no chips or cracks. Comes with one half blued magazine with no visible markings. .45 Auto
