Description:
Ruger introduced the Blackhawk in 1955 with the 'Flat Top' and 'Pre-Warning' versions, paving the way to an inevitable evolution in their design; the New Model revolvers. They were designed with a Transfer Bar Safety, a measure taken to compensate for accidental discharges while carrying loaded. This example is from 2003 and is noted for being the perfect handgun for hunting. The ability to use Ruger proprietary scope rings, help make short work of equipping the pistol with an optic (which are not included). Featuring a 7.5-inch barrel and two-piece smooth gray laminate wood grips, each with inset Ruger phoenix logo medallions at the top.
