Belgian HOMESTEAD Hunting/Fowling Piece
Here we present an antique Belgian Double Barrel Side by Side Flintlock Shotgun, manufactured circa the early 1800s in Liege, Belgium. This 16 gauge fowling piece is the type that would have been a staple of most homesteads hanging over the mantle during the tumultuous times of the early-1800s.
The overall condition is good. Both actions remain excellent. The bores are both smooth and have been scoured of grime. There is a faint twist pattern on the barrels. The stock shows use and remains solid. The ramrod is a replacement.
