Description:
Custom 243 Win built by Paul Jaeger in the late 1960s. Built on a Sako L579 action,this beautiful rifle is a testament to Jaegers craftsmanship and attention to detail. Features include the floorplate,trigger guard,and grip cap are deep cut engraved in Germanic oak leaf style surrounded by gold wire inlays and a gold groundhog on the floorplate. Believed to be engraved by Claus Willig.Other features are a 26" Douglas premium barrel, highly figured European walnut stock,hand inletted and hand checkered stock,engine turned bolt body,checkered bolt handle,Blackburn bottom metal,and a gold initial shield inletted into the stock. The stock has a slight beavertail forend that is shown in Jaegers early catalogs as a varmint/sport stock. This is a classic custom rifle from one of the premier custom builders of the 20th century. MInt overall condition showing no wear at all. C&R eligible. Price includes shipping to your FFL.
