Very good condition, some light wear, small nicks and scratches. .44-40 Winchester caliber, 1 9/16" cylinder. The Double Action frontier was originally introduced in .44 Russian caliber, but in an effort to be a companion piece to other firearms in .44-40 Winchester, these revolvers were made with 1/8" longer cylinders and frames than the standard .44 Russian caliber double actions. They were also serial numbered in their own series with only 15,340 made between 1886-1913 - all frames for this model were made before 1898 and all are therefore antiques. None
