***SOLD*** A solid and good looking '86 in the scarce and desirable configuration of Deluxe Extra Light Weight Rifle. 33 WCF caliber.
S/N 141793 made in 1906.
24" Barrel with a 2/3 length magazine tube.
Excellent original Blue on the barrel, mag tube, and buttplate. The receiver shows notable carry wear to silver, along with some high edge wear and a narrow crescent shaped loss on L sidewall.
Beautiful wood set with original piano finish has also had a thin topcoat of oil on the forend which gummed up the checkers slightly. There is also a too dark (as usual) touch up of some flaking near the buttplate transition.
The bore is very good and the mechanics are crisp and proper.
This rifle falls within a missing series of 1886 S/Ns, so Cody had no record of it, but there is no indication whatsoever that it is anything but a correct and all original Deluxe, based on the components, caliber, and factory workmanship.
Sights consist of an ivory bead front, sporting rear, and a rare windage adjustable tang sight.
