Description:
Husqvarna 640 chambered in 9.3x62. This rifle is in very good condition. The barrel is 24 inches. The top of the barrel is marked "HUSQVARNA VAPENFABRIKS A.B. KAL. 9.3 X 62" The left side of the barrel shank is marked with the serial number, "91447". The left side of the chamber ring is marked "SIMPSON LTD G'BURG IL / M-640 SWEDEN" The front sight is a hooded ramped bead (red paint added at some point), and the rear has an elevated drift adjustable sight. The stock is a one-piece checkered hardwood with a plastic buttpad, straight comb, and capped pistol grip. The stock has a crack at the wrist. The LOP measures 14 1/4 inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The metal finish and stock finish are excellent with very minor handling marks. The 9.3×62mm is a rimless, bottlenecked rifle cartridge designed in 1905. The 9.3×62mm is considered ideal for hunting the larger and tougher African game species and is a popular cartridge for hunting game like moose and wild boar. 9.3X62mm
