Description:
WWII Quality Hardware M1 Carbine CMP Service Grade (G-3) with a 1-44 Underwood barrel with flaming bomb proof, serial #48167xx. The rifle is in very good condition except for the stock, which is in good condition. The stock is a post-war Type III low wood arsenal replacement that has one scrape on the right side of the stock just below the op rod (probably from another gun's op rod) and the left side of the stock has whiteish marks between the forward sling loop and the magazine well. There is also another similar white mark on the left rear of the stock. The underlying wood is undamaged. The stock has the oval-shaped oiler recess in the rear portion of the buttstock that doubles as a rear sling mount point. The number "801" is stamped on the left rear of the stock, and the right sight of the stock has the stamped number "1982". The pistol grip has a white dot overlaying the stamped number "26". The handguard is a 4-rivet version.
