Description:
GSP rifle conversion kit by B&M for the Walther GSP, including stock and barrel/receiver in .22lr.

Sale is pending confirmation of fit.

Despite its simplistic look and being for semi-auto uses, this barrel and stock group converts the GSP to a competition match quality rifle with regard to accuracy and reliable function.  Essentially any scope or sighting system compatible with the 11-12mm dovetail mount system can be used, without removal of the GSP sights.

This is NOT the conversion kit marketed by Walther.  The one offered was made by B&M in Germany to fit the vast majority of GSP frames and .22 receivers (either .22s or LR).  It differs in many ways from the one offered by Walther, which some might consider distinctly superior to the Walther model.  This kit is one of 5 that were imported into the USA.  Total production was a few hundred.

The main differences from the Walther conversion, are that the barrel length is 22.5" (not 16" or 18"), the barrel is not fluted, the original iron sights of the GSP are retained but a scope or other optical sight can be added concurrently.  The barrel has a long 11mm dovetail that accepts many scope mounts (not just minimal slits like the Walther design).  The stock is small in size, and is ambidexterous.  It could be viewed as the stock design that Walther would have preferred to use, but did not due to social or political pressures of the time.

The stock is laminated wood, with oil sealer or finish.  The hand guard has some wear, but overall, it is in very good to excellent condition.  It engages, and is held onto the stock by a mechanical clip, not by a bolt.  The stock will fit any GSP with a bottom bolt retainer, but if the frame has a safety, either this must be removed first or cutouts need to be made for the stock to be used.  The stock can be used with GSP that use the older upper bolt retaining mounts for the gun, but this will require drilling of holes in the correct locations for the grip retaining bolts.  This can be provided, at extra cost which should be discussed first.

In general, these rifles are both easy and enjoyable to use, and extremely accurate.  The resultant rifle can use 5, 8 or 10 rd magazines.  Accuracy is very close to the Anshutz 64 or some 54, and far better than most semi-auto .22lr rifles.  The compact stock is excellent for field use, but entirely suitable for target use.  Please note, however, the potential problems in using this stock (or the one with the Walther conversion kit) with any GSP that has a safety.  That said, it is much easier to adapt this stock to the safety-in-place, if that is what is desired, compared to the Walther stock design.

The barrel also will not fit the very oldest GSP guns, due to a smaller bore to the barrel insertion opening.  If in doubt, this can be measured first.

This listing is for the stock and barrel only.  If a GSP (complete) or GSP minus barrel are required, that can be provided.  If so desired, please contact regarding the specific type desired (Expert or prior series) so that a new listing for that offering can be prepared for that offering.  A slightly different version of the stock with geometric aristry also can be made available, at higher price.  The difference however is cosmetic.  All stocks are nonadjustable and ambidexterous.  This listing and its price DO NOT include the gun or gun frame, trigger group, or receiver.  The last image is of what the gun looks like when combined, but is for information only.  The GSP frame, trigger, and receiver in that picture are not included in this listing.

This barrel and fore-end are compatible with Commemorative GSP in my listings, and any bottom bolt frame GSP you might have.  Price will be reduced combined with that guns, or with the GSP .32 upper section for sale by me.  The stock also can be adapted to the side-bolt GSP frames so long as the receiver is the correct dimension to accept the barrel.  A few of the older ones use too small an opening for this.

These parts do not require an FFL for shipment.

Shipping by USPS or FedEx is extra, and generally is $40-60 depending on distance and specific method chosen.

Since this does not offer seller reviews, links to reviews and comments of that type on another , for my prior sales of comparable quality guns, or contact with prior purchasers can be provided if appropriate.
