Colt Sauer Sporting Rifle chambered in 300 Winchester Magnum. J.P. Sauer's Sporting Rifle was marketed in the US through Colt. These are known for their smooth cycling, short bolt travel, and 60° throw angle due to their flapper locking bolt lugs at the rear of the bolt. Colt Sauers are dressed in a fine American walnut stock with 18-line hand checkering and a high-gloss finish. A rosewood forend and grip cap add intrigue, while the deep bluing is an art to behold. The .300 Winchester Magnum is a belted, bottlenecked magnum rifle cartridge that was designed to fit in a standard rifle action. It is based on the .375 H&H Magnum. It is a versatile cartridge and has been adopted by a wide range of users including big game hunters, target shooters, military units, and law enforcement departments.
