Description:
Serial Number 202 Barrel 3 1/2" cal, 22 Rim Fire Mfg circa 1860's. Manufactured in Springfield Mass, during the Civil War with brass frame and octagon barrel. Spur trigger with side swinging barrel. Numbered on the frame under left grip with no makers name or address found. 2 piece varnished walnut grips with brass escutcheons. Condition. Very good with barrel having toned to dove grey. Brass frame is a aged mustard patina. Action operates properly. Grip escutcheons are loose. Bore is is strong with visible rifling and darkness in grooves. These little pistols are observed in pictures of Civil War soldiers. ANTIQUE
