Description:
Walther GSP Atlanta, complete with SN matched box, tools, instructions, test target, 2 original magazines, etc..  In excellent condition and looking new at first glance, it has been used.  The box is very good, but not in perfect condition.

Sale of this item is pending.  Several other GSP and GSP Expert can be made available and listed on this , on request, if desired.  They span the years from the earliest GSP that preceded the modular series, to the Expert series in .32 and .22, and also, a number of OSP of various dates,  Please inquire if interested.  These can then be listed on this for possible purchase, if interest exists.

Unlike commemorative guns from many other manufacturers, this GSP Atlanta commemorative gun is an extremely high quality item as a firearm, suitable for match and competition use "out of the box".  It is not simply decorative of for display only.

Purchased by me in Germany, it has US importer marks that are difficult to see.  It was not obtained via Walther USA.  Including the 2 original magazines, but 2 additional magazines with added hold-open pins are available at extra cost.  All magazines use a black base, that was standard with this model and the prior GSPs.  The newer blue base magazines made for the Expert series can be used in this gun and will function perfectly (if the magazine is in good condition), but the blue magazines are lighter weight, from softer metal, and of lower overall quality.

Please note, the usual GSP is designed to be operated with a last-round hold open function as an option, but was sold with magazines that used pins that would not engage this function.  The pins that will do that were accessories.  As a result, most GSP will not stay open after the last round, but can be optionized to do so.  The original magazines with this gun are of the usual, non-hold open type.  This gun gun does not have a safey, and therefore will accept the GSP rifle set offered with ease..

The Atlanta has no significant differences other than commemorative status, from the prior GSP series.  The bolt is Ti-N coated in gold, rather than the otherwise usual black color used at the time.  The barrel length is identical to the other GSP guns in the commemorative edition.

This gun crosses the line between a collector item (due to condition and accessories) and a superb target or field gun for high accuracy use.  It can serve as either, or both.

It also will fit the GSP rifle set listed, and will accept the .32 upper section and magazines listed by me, or the Expert .32 upper sections (which also can be listed on this service and provided by me on request from items on hand).  If purchased with either of those items, the total can be discounted for a combined purchase of 2 or 3 items.  However, FFL transfer is needed for the gun, if purchased for out of state shipment.  The GSP does not convert to a .32 caliber rifle, but only .22lr (or 22s with an OSP upper section).

The grip is marked L or large, but is approriate for a size 8-10 US men's glove size.  It is right handed, but the Walther RH grips fit well for LH use, if the base shelf is not used.  The Atlanta grip is different in design detail from all other Walther grips except for the 25 yr Commemorative model, but otherwise is similar.  See illustration of the base of the gun for details.

This specific model is rare, but does not differ technically from other late production GSP other than the gold colored Ti-N coating on the breech block unit.

If actual use of the item is planned, consideration of the Match Rifle barrel and stock offered is suggested.

Since this does not offer seller reviews, links to reviews and comments of that type on another , for my prior sales of comparable quality guns, or contact with prior purchasers can be provided if appropriate.
