About Us: I am a gun enthusiast that is slowly unloading some of my personal collection. I have not sold on this platform, but have sold many items on Northeastshooters and some on gunboards all with positive feedback.
Description:
For sale is a vintage Remington 870 rifled slug special from the early 60s. These were made from about 59-61 and are seldom seen. It has a 25.5 inch slug barrel with factory installed sights. Rifled refers to the fact that it is made to shoot rifled slugs not that the barrel is rifled. Shotgun and barrel are for 2 and 3/4 inch shells.
I called Remington and verified that it was made in 1960. Remington was not able to tell me exactly what barrel it was shipped with, but they said due to the date made it was likely the original barrel.
Overall it is in very good condition with some minor hunting wear.
This is my first listing for a firearm on GI so I am happy to chat with any potential buyers on the phone. I am located in Boston, MA and am willing to travel a reasonable distance to make an in person sale at a local gun shop.
