Smith & Wesson pre-36 Chief's Special .38 Special. Made circa 1955, serial 72611 (4x: frame, barrel, cylinder and grips) is a four screw configuration with a flat latch, 2-inch pinned barrel, color case hammer (checkered spur), color case trigger (narrow, serrated face) and walnut diamond grips. A set of stag grips and a tooled leather holster (left hand) are included. No box, papers or additional accessories. CONDITION: Owned by the same family for three generations, seldom fired and given great care, the bore is outstanding. Metal finish is at least 95 percent. Grips are 98 percent. Trigger pulls are smooth and the cylinder locks tightly. The price is firm. $1,150 plus shipping.
