Description:
An original US Cavalry Colt that was manufactured in 1885 and later turned in to become a 5.5 inch Artillery model with mixed parts. In addition this revolver was at some time finished in nickel. I'd say definitely pre WWII as the nickel is what I would call a "white nickel" as opposed to the nickel currently used which has a yellow tint. It appears the early chemicals for nickel plate are no longer available. Still an interesting revolver and one with good timing, etc. and still a piece of history. No ffl required as this is an antique made in 1885.
