This used WW1 era Gewehr 98 service rifle is manufactured by Waffenfabrik Mauser A-g Oberndorf A/N and dated to 1916. This is an original, all numbers matching rifle down to even to the cleaning rod which is not seen matching very often. The stock does show significant signs of wear along with the metal finish. The action and lockup are still tight, and the trigger function is still solid. If you are looking for a really good example of a famous German WW1 Mauser rifle for your collection this is a great choice as finding decent Gew 98 rifle is sometimes not easy, and they just never show up with their numbers completely matching. This is the perfect rifle to have in your hands next time you watch "All Quiet on the Western Front". 8mm Mauser
