***SOLD*** Beautiful antique, collector grade Winchester 1887 12 gauge shotgun.
S/N 62391 made in 1897.
Amazingly preserved, showing 96% plus original finishes throughout. There are a few scuffs to the bluing on top of barrel and under mag tube, and some typical wear to the buttplate, but otherwise, nearly flawless finish.
The case colors are very vivid.
The wood shows some scattered light handling marks, but no significant mars or cracks and has never been sanded or refinished.
32" barrel with Improved Cylinder choke. The bore is extremely fine, especially from this black powder era, bright and shiny with no discrepancies noted.
The mechanical functions are all crisp and proper.
An exceptional example that would be quite difficult to improve upon.
