US Springfield model 1842 musket converted to a Fowler in wall hanger condition. The dark walnut walnut stock has been shortened to one band (30"). The barrel has been shortened to 32.5" with a bead front sight. The lock is marked 1851 US Springfield but only has one click. The metal parts are dark brown with scattered pitting throughout.
