Description:
This is a FINE W. A Beckwith 6-shot percussion pepperbox, in .45 caliber, with 3-1/2" fluted case hardened barrel, circa 1840's-50's. Grips are excellent, well displayed in the photos. London proof marks on barrel cluster are sharp. The action is very tight and all nipples are intact. Engraving is still sharp and crisp. Side plates are stamped "W.A. Beckwith London" and "Improved Revolving Pistol". Appreciable original finish on cylinder and blue on trigger guard remain. Overall condition is FINE.
