Description:
This gun is an original Mauser Oberndorf Sporting Rifle in 8x57 caliber. I believe it to predate the A or B designation, but I’m not certain of that fact. The rifle is in very nice condition with most all the original rust blue remaining. The bore is excellent! The wood is very nice as well, including the inside. No alterations. The barrel and action fit the inletting and barrel channel perfectly. There has been a Griffon & Howe side mount attached at some point. It appears to be done by Griffon based on how the inside is dressed down, but that is just my speculation. Fantastic double set trigger. It comes with a 2x7 Var-X 11 scope.
