Description:
This is an AC 40 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1940. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs throughout, even on the small parts. It has retained about 85% of its original high polish finish, with splotchy wear on the front strap, and spots of oxidation and finish loss on the tang. Additional wear on the high edges, and areas of finish loss on the top and right side of the slide, trigger guard, and left side of the muzzle. A few surface scratches here and there on the slide. Minty bore with strong rifling. Fitted with matching Walther grips which are in excellent condition. Great mechanics and functional de-cocker. Comes as a rig with an excellent hardshell 1940 "dla" marked holster, and a period-correct Walther magazine that is numbered but not matching. However, it is in the correct "b" serial block. Also includes a second unnumbered magazine. Production of this variation is estimated to be 13,950.
