Smith & Wesson 19 is a single/double-action revolver with a great tradition of shooting .357 Magnum and .38 Special calibers. The S&W K-frame is legendary, since 1896 when the first K-framed medium-size double-action revolver was introduced. The model 19 was produced in 1957, as the blued-steel medium-frame .357 Magnum model. The variations of the Model 19 have been changed and discontinued several times until then, and the new reintroduced S&W Model 19 is now offered as a .357 Magnum K-frame 6-shot revolver, in Classic and Performance Center variants. The Classic model 19 features a 4.25-inch steel barrel, while the PC model has 3 and 2.5. The revolver has a polished blued finish, wooden checkered grips, and a red-ramp front sight along with an adjustable rear sight. The cylinder is fluted and holds 6 bullets of .357 Magnum or 38 Special ammo. The new Model 19 Classic features S&W keyed locking system, an internal lock that can be activated via the key slot, located above the cylinder release bar. It blocks the hammer and the trigger when it’s activated. The Model 19 is perfect for personal protection and self-defense situations.
