Husqvarna Vapenfabriks 1941 Mauser Rifle 6.5x55.
Swedish Model 38 which has visible matching numbers and markings on the receiver and bolt and logos on barrel bands. This rifle began life specifically as an M.38 manufactured by Husqvarna Vapenfabriks Aktiebolag in 1941 as seen stamped on the receiver & was not part of the refurbishment program whereby M.96 rifles were arsenal converted as part of the trend toward shorter service rifles & became designated as the M94/38 as this was done in 1938.
Thye M.38 is easily identified by the bent bolt as opposed to the straight handles on previous models.
These rifles were used by all arms of the Swedish military during WW2, along with the Finnish Army in their war(s) against the USSR.
This example is in outstanding overall condition as can be seen in the photos & the wood is in better than average condition but does have some of the usual markings from service life. The metal work is clean & has generous blueing still present with the bolt still very clean & bright.
