THE OFFER
In 1986 Colt Released the Double Diamond set to commemorate their 150th anniversary. There were 1,000 produced and this gun is # 982. It is a beautiful gun in a high polish Bright Stainless Steel with stunning wood medallion grips. On the left side is the \"Double Diamond\" Engraving. This offering includes the factory stamped 150th anniversary box - there is nothing hand etched in. Also included is the now hard to find commemorative display case built specifically for the Double Diamond set as well as a matching Bright Stainless Colt Stamped Magazine.
Condition: Excellent - Collector Grade
Easily 98% of the original finish beautifully intact with very little signs of use/handling. Most notable wear is on the bottom of the mainspring and the right side of the hammer. No surface scuffs or scratches on the frame and grips. The bore retains its rifling but has since gone dull. The display case is in excellent condition but without a key. The box shows its age with some wear & tear along the opening.
