Vintage - 24 Gauge - Bayard Henri Pieper - Side by Side Double Barrel Hammer Shotgun – 27 5/8” Chopper Lump Barrels with Matted Rib - Greener Crossbolt – Double triggers – Extractors - Nitro Proofed – Blued Barrels Case Colored receiver, hammers & triggers. Markings include MADE IN BELGIUM – DEMI BLOC – ACIER BAYARD – POUR POUDRES VIVES – ANC. ETABL PIEPER HERSTAL BELGIQUE.
The barrels have some minor handling marks & a few small pits, bores are clean and shiny. The Case Colors are strong, still vibrant in some places.
Barrels ring like a bell.
Right barrel choke IC & left barrel choke light full.
Weight 5 lb. 12 oz.
LOP is 13 ¾’ & 12 ¾”. No cracks or repairs - just minor handling marks.
Shotgun has a very good shot pattern for both barrels.
This is a rare 24-gauge Pieper. Finding another one will be a challenge!
